What ACERIS Provides:
ACERIS Program Objectives
The ACERIS Organic and
Natural Certificate guarantees that the precedence,
identity and integrity of the product, as well as the
harvesting and handling operations comply with the
standards established by the US National Organic Program
The Organic Certification is becoming an essential tool
for producers and manufacturers of organic products by
offering a double advantage: help producers to
differentiate their products and guarantee consumers the
product meets the high quality standards required to
obtain the Certification.
ACERIS Certification Process
ACERIS Organic and Natural Seal communicates the
public that an independent review of the product and
farm/facilities was performed and found to meet the
governmental and industry standards established for
In order to verify the production is under certain standards, producers will
submit relevant data about the farm facilities and production methods involved
in all the production process; from the cultivation of crops to the sale of the
product, including the storage, processing and transport, to support the
certification of the product.
Once an organic product gets the Certification and displays the ACERIS
Organic and Natural Seal, the producer must have a daily record of the
farming/manufacturing processes and it must be available at any time for any
possible inspection. The Certification will expire in one year unless renewed by
the certified manufacturer.
